Another Day Almost missed

Well I updated by day for the 7th on the 8th, and now the 8th on the 9th. Darn, I have to get better at remembering to update all of this.

Well I did make it to my 6,489 word count goal, early in the day, and late at night, I started world building off of the fact that I already had. Fleshing out my book some. So far I'm really liking it.

So anyways, my current word count is 6,808 I believe.

I have to reach 10,603, by the end of today.

That's only 4 thousand words I have to write. No biggie.

Okay maybe a slight biggie, seeing as how I'm distracted on fleshing the story out.

Oh well, I can do this, I can so do this.

So for my quota 2 days ago, I had 5,449.

I wrote just over 1,000 in the day, reaching my over all goal.


I've also started reading again, and should be posting a book review soon, after I finish my word count quota for today that is. If you are curious, I'm reading The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox. Hope you're excited for that one.

A few Reviews + updates

Before I start I'm going to make sure everyone knows, I've been up for almost 24 hours at the time I'm writing these reviews. I can remember events, and situations, but I can't remember names. I'm also bound to make a spelling mistake at some point.

Fate's Exchange by Sasha Leigh

I have to give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

This was definitely interesting, and I would read the next book happily. Sadly however, this review is going to be lacking, as it's been a few days since I've read this book. But I will admit that I like Alyssa.

I hate her friend though, so much so that I can't even remember her name. I don't see why she would just disappear like that, even if they were drifting apart, why would she lead her on? I mean seriously what kind of heartless person does that.

Then after she was upset by that, David had to die. It makes sense though, a balance had to be kept, It says that right in the description, but oh well.

Her old friend gets on my nerves, and yes I can't remember her name either. I can understand, but seriously, does she really think that after a year of bullying and being a bitch, that she can just walk up to her after the most traumatic experience of her life and be her friend again.

Also I have to touch on one subject, when she accidentally kills herself in the first place, she would have felt it before it got too far, even with blood circulation cut off, you still have nerves, and trust me that hurts. Also with blood circulation cut off , she probably wouldn't have bled to death until a lot later.

Aside from the few human decisions in the book that I don't see any sane person making, that book itself was great, the things I listed were in the end of the book, the beginning of the book lacks those problems.

I recommend this book, it's a really good read. It took me a couple days but I had important things to do while I was reading it.


Starfire Angels by Melanie Nilles
I have to give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Same as with the first one, it's been a few days, or well a day since I've read this one, but I really liked it. The whole 'Dark Angel' things is always a favorite of mine.

It was made even better with the inside joke by her 'Dark Angel' Obsessed friend, I actually giggled out loud and it was totally deserved.

Also I probably would have questioned my hands a long time ago, that's not a normal marking, and I would never believe a human being could have been born with that marking on their hands.

I don't know how I feel about the Starfire, Aside from happy that they killed Pallin, seriously, the dude had to die. Also it bothers me, if he's not able to touch her, because of the starfire, how was he able to rape her in the first place,.

I loved the reporter aspect, I mean, I know how reporters can be, and they'll do anything to get a story. And that was a break through story. Or would have been, had she stuck to most of her business, and hadn't been right there.

Again, I recommend this book also, just be prepared for some grammatical errors. Nothing serious. Also this took me less then 12 hours to read.

Dollhouse by Anya Allyn

Yes. No. Wait, what. Yes read it, no I hated the cliffhanger, and I have to read the next book.

This book, just this book. There were some grammatical errors, but I just skipped over those.

This was amazing, I rarely venture away from any kind of romance, but I'm glad I did in this case. This beat out a lot of the romance books I've read recently.

I also really liked the names, Jessamine, Calliope, Angeline, Philomena, Missouri,Sophranie, Evander. All interesting.

But this ending, I mean I can't stand reading about children dieing. They were so close, if only Ethan had told them what he knew. Well actually I wish the readers knew what he knew. But I'm sure all of that will be released in the second book.

I'm very intrigued by this book, how would someone come up with something like this. It's brilliantly thought out, well written. The plot is great. Although some things are easier to figure out, while other things happen and they just kinda flip a table at you.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone, it's a great read, it's has it's humor, it's a mystery, and true to it's genre, it's a thriller. This book took me all of less then 5 hours to read it.

Blur by Kristen Middleton

I really liked this book, I could hardly put it down, between 9pm and 1am I just read the book, and I almost finished it. and it's a slightly different take for me, being as usually  when I read a book about vampires, there's werewolves too. I haven't seen any in this series yet.

This book left me wondering if Ernie, their mothers old boss, knew all along what was going on in Shore Lake, or if he had no clue what so ever, as to what he was sending them too.

I'm tempted to buy the next book, sadly I won't be doing that, as I've promised myself, I'm going to try to finish reading as many of the free books on my kindle before I buy anymore books, but I do really want to know what happens after Ethan is shot, and disappears.

I also want to see how Duncan reacts to Nikki getting bit by a vampire, and if her mom is going to realize, and if the Sheriff is going to explain to her why he saved her.

I'm also kind of curious as to what happened with their dad, he didn't actually make an appearance, just his actions made one, but they're afraid that he will.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes vampire books, or any supernatural books. It's a great book, and even better it is free.

Awakening by Karice Bolton

I was okay with this book. It went a little slow for me, and I felt like for a few chapters I was on repeat. But once I got past that, I loved the idea, the plot, the characters, and everything that happens.

I'm not going to lie, the foreshadowing was done great, I didn't expect anything to happen to Athen, at least not in this book. I'm also hoping I can get the next book in the series so I can find out what happens next.

Ana, seems like an okay protagonist. But I do like how she came into her powers quickly. I just wish she hadn't hidden her dreams, for one being that even if she had shared them, nothing would have changed, they couldn't prevent what happened, they can't prevent a legion gathering together, the most the can do is prepare themselves for something bad about to happen, warn the other families to be on high alert.

I loved Arie and Cyril, most Arie, she was just so upbeat, and so into the holiday mood, she had to decorate to houses, and throw a party a week or 2 after they move into their new house.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Athen, I mean he's sweet, and clearly cares about Ana a lot, but he's a lot of the time, it's seems like he's in a competition to show more affection then his sisters boyfriend. A little weird in my opinion. But on top of that, he seems overly cocky, until he gets his ass handed to him that is, then we don't know what he's like. I think they should have started her with learning to fight as soon as possible, since they knew something was up, why would they be okay with leaving her to fend for herself?

Well, oh well, the book is a great read, and I would recommend it if you have or even haven't read any of Bolton's other works. She has a nice writing style, and everything is beautifully written.

Back In The Saddle

Of sorts.

Simply put I'm back to reading, not as quickly as I would normally read, but I'm reading none the less.

I'm over halfway done with Awakening by Karice Bolton, and by the end of today, I'll for sure be finished with it, and started on my next book.

Only problem is, what book should I read next?

Also while going through my read list, I realized I never put a book on a review. Sadly it's been too long for me to do a good review, but I can do a small overview of a review of it.

Fallon by Valerie Zambito
I have to give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars

Fallon and her family die, and they all get to choose their own paths in Emperica, pretty much what we would say is heaven. She chooses to return to earth, and fight demons, called kjin. And while doing this, shes thrown into a previous knights job partner.

That all seems good, but the job partner, former cop Kade, his uncle is the big baddie in the book, along with a few other important people.

And during the big, I'm going to guess was the climax, the Ha'Basin, or demons big way to hurt an angel, her friend comes in, and tries to save her, but can't do anything, so instead, he starts setting her free, gives her a weapon, and sacrifices himself. So heroic. All of that, after planting a kiss.
I am curious what happens to him, what with the war starting, and him being stuck in emperica for the rest of time.

Seems pretty normal, nice book, easy to follow pace, not too quick, but definitely not too slow. Worth the read.

Also I loved the ending, true love never fails. It does take it's time, for some odd reason.

A Reading Spree

Well I went on a reading spree today. Or I guess it was yesterday technically.
Anyways I started a book a few days ago, and finished it the morning of the 3rd, I read a whole book during the day, and I started another one in the evening and finished it at 1am on the 4th.

That isn't bad, being that I'd only read the first 3% of the book before I sat down and read it on the 2nd and 3rd.

Also there will be spoilers, nothing huge. Okay lies. Lots of huge book ruining spoilers actually. But I did keep each bit of information to a minimum.

Becoming Red by Jess Raven
I have to give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Unless we're talking about the amazing way the author is with words, then thats a 5 out of 5. And the sex scenes are mind boggling.

The characters are something else, the background to the story is awesome. I also have to like the little glossary in the back, it clears a bunch of things up.

I'm not really in a reviewing mood today, but I will say, I really want to know what Madden will do at the end. New information, lots of decisions, could go a bunch of ways. But no matter what poor Connal.

Rival by Lacy Yager
I have to give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

It was short, sweet, and right to the point, a great beginning for what I hope is a really great series.

I like the love interest here, and while I'm not one from keeping secrets from people, I understand the reasons for both of their secrets.

However I found Emily a bit infuriating. But in my defense, I can't stand girls whose only interest is turning 18 so they can ditch their parents.

But it's a great book, and should I repeat, short and sweet, and action packed, and drama packed, and mystery packed. A well rounded book.

Coming Home by Roxanne Fox
I have to give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

Annan pisses me off. Simply stated. But she's supposed to. She's in denial of a bunch of things, and is learning a bunch of things.

Also just like the first one, the sex scenes were Oh My Words. Perfection. And the explaining of Sean's eyes just leaves you picturing them.

I don't know how I feel about the ending actually, I mean I want to know what happens, but I just find it strange how easy she was to capture.

Again another great book, definitely worth it.

I'm not sure when I'll be reading again, this filled my quota for the month, being as I don't want to read all of my books for my child in one month when I have a whole year to finish it. But I will still be trying to read other books that aren't on my challenge.

Open Minds by Susan Kaye Quinn

This book. This fucking book. I loved it, then I hated it, then I loved it.

I mean, Simon, douche, sweetheart, liar, helpful. Inlove. Omg, like I almost cried when he died and I had to reread the parts after that like 3 times, because I kept just recording to his death. I mean it was horrible, but it helped.

I'm thinking about buying the next book, but I have to save my money. I really oh so very badly want to know what happens to all of the jackers that were left in the camp. Especially Molloy, and I want to see how Kira goes about her life with Raf. I prefered Simon, but no he had to die to protect her.

Raf, of Rafael. I can't even explain him, he's a great person. But unfortunately is a mind reader, so he can't help her, even if she sought his help.

I would recommend this book. Really that's all I have to say.

Uncontrollable by S.R. Johannes

This is the second book, right after Untraceable but I feel like it didn't live up to the first one. It is good, but I feel like it was shorter.

Well in this book, Mo is dead, but she thinks, just like with her dad, that Mo is still alive. About half way through you find out he is still alive, when he chases her into the woods and tackles her into the snow. That was like a gasp out loud moment, I didn't really, but if I hadn't already known he was still alive (very obvious, sorry) yes, I would have gasped.

My one complaint. Editing. There were chunks of things missing, like the whole conversation with Wyn about going over there, it wasn't there, but I knew about that because it was in the epilogue I believe, also he talks about it later one.

Also, testosterone is stupid, guys are stupid, but it is what would have happened.

In this book, I prefer neither of them -_- Mo is making stupid decisions left and right, and Wyn is more worried about himself, and his ego.

I would suggest this book, but you do have to understand that there is at least one giant chunk of the book missing, and it feels extremely short.

Untraceable by S.R. Johannes

This book was amazing. So amazing I actually bought the next book. I almost never buy a second book, but I couldn't help myself. I just realized I read them 1 immediately after the other, it's going to be hard to keep them separate.

I'm just going to start with the bad parts. It's to easy to predict. I mean, I've read tons of books where they think someone dies, but they end up being alive in the end, because they're hiding with some sort of agency.

I feel that Grace is a quite well thought out character, if very stupid at times. But all normal people make stupid decisions under duress, so she is forgiven.

Wyn. I love his name, like seriously. But he is a priss. And a great friend, if you ignore the fact that he yells at her in the end, even though she didn't kill the person.

Mo, or Morris, I found him annoyingly charming. Although I do have to say I have a thing for british accents. He's an undercover agent, that's another thing I like, and he's always there when Grace needs him most, well until he 'dies' and they tell her not too look at the body on the gurnee.

I would suggest reading this, it's a great book, and I love it. Hopefully you will too.

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins

I loved Hex Hall, and this one did live up to the same excitement, just less romance, and the ending made me so mad. I understand why she did what she was told, and the next book will make it almost all better but just the thought that her dad got his powers taken away, and Archer was still in there and what about Jenna where is she, and Cal went back in there, where the Eye were currently attacking, I could care less about the rest of the council. The only way she can get help is going to see the one thing that wants to kill her most of all.

Okay I'm done ranting about the ending, but I can't believe what was happening, I can't believe Hecate Hall was being used to raise demons, by the headmistress and her little sister. I love how Archer and Sophie go there and they fight off the guardians, if only Sophie could be faster at mastering her skills.

I LOVE Cal so much, I mean I love Archer too, and I think she should be with Archer and all that, but I mean even though Archer was part of the Eye, and was his competition for Sophie, he still saved his life after Nick attacked him. But I hate how everyone came out and saw that, and le gasp, I hated Elodie in the first book, but thank goodness she was there, she pretty much saved Archer's life, long live the bounded ghost.

I'm almost done there's just so much in this book that I loved. I didn't really like Daisy or Nick, at the end of the book I understood a little bit more why, I was just thinking I might've liked there characters more if they hadn't been turned into demons by people trying to start a war. My favorite scene including them was when Nick jumped in the fountain water Sophie had just turned pink and got Jenna and her all wet, and then they used their magic to change each others clothes, that was hilarious, I'm pretty sure that was the funniest part in the book.

I lowered my rating because the book was way to serious, I understand why it was serious, but I can only specifically remember one funny moment in the book.

This review was so long, but I think I got my point across, and I shall go finish my Anatomy homework and my book, I am currently reading Spells by Aprilynne Pike, and Blood Debt by Nancy Straight.

Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk

I like this book. A lot actually. It might have something to do with my love for magic as well, but the way the characters are portrayed in this book are just amazing. I think it helps the plot a lot with how the magic takes back from the user, and with Allie it's painful, or memory loss is the biggest part.

In the end I do like Zayvion, even if you can't always be sure what side he's on, but you can tell he truly does love her, and will protect her, just as much as she would protect him.

The part right before the ending actually sorta had me worked up, what will Zayvion being shot, James, Mama's Boy being the snake man that made Cody kill Allie's dad and hurt Mama's other Boy.

What bothered me the most for this was the fact that I never could figure out how old Cody was supposed to be, I think I understand that is was magic use that messed with him and seperated him from his older self, just leaving the child. I also love her friend Nola, she's so helpful and so is that adorable dog of her's, but it didn't stop Allie and Zayvion from being together. Which I'm sure helped her.

Black Moon by Jessica McQuay

In the beginning I won't lie I already liked Paige, she seemed like someone I would understand, but then as things started happening, like she started glowing, I was trying to figure it out. I will admit though before I found out she was a faery, I had already figured out she had shifter blood in her, it was shall I say sort of obvious, but I can admit my realizing that might have had something to do with the fact that I've read a lot of books like this one, and after so many you get good at picking up on things like that.

I've read a few reviews, and I have to agree with quite a few of the reviewers, my favorite character is Naialah. I mean I can't wait to know what she is, and that is mostly because I have a feeling a second book is coming out, otherwise it couldn't have ended like that.

This book was extremely well written and I am so glad I was able to get a copy of the book for free, it is something I probably wouldn't have found on my own, and I'm happy I did find it. I suggest if you can get this book, do it, it is very well written.

Boundless by Cynthia Hand

I loved this book, it actually made me cry, especially closer to the end. I can't believe how strong Clara has gotten, and how brave she is, and how she never gave up on Tucker. And oh sweet sweet, dumb Tucker, always there at the wrong time.

I hate, hate, hate Jeffery's girlfriend Lucy, and her triplare twin sister Olivia, but they both died so it doesn't matter anymore. I hate Lucy more and more while I read the book, because she was so self important, and she killed Tucker. She also hurt Christian. And Christian was her half brother, and Angela's half sister too, meaning if you do the math, Christian and Angela are half siblings as well.

There are only ever 7 triplare walking on the earth at one time, and Webster is the 7th, and he gets so many people killed, and by the end there are so fewer triplare, I mean there's only like 5. Plus Asael got what was coming to him, a glory sword through the heart, go Clara, sacrificing yourself for Tucker, only to save everyone's lives plus your own. But not to worry the Watchers now belong to Samjeeza, who won't be going after you for quite some time, because you choose to do the right thing, you choose to tell him a story, and he brought you to hell.

I'm so upset that the series is over, I want to keep reading, even though they didn't really leave any unanswered questions, I want to know if Tucker, who came back to life and became a prophet has a longer then normal life, and if Clara and Christian ever get together, what happens to Web and Angela, while they're away from Clara. But oh well, I'll just move onto another book for now.

Currently reading Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk and Demon Glass by Rachel Hawkins. Wish me luck that I finish these soon and post more reviews.

Beautiful Creatures by kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

This was a long book, and due to many complications I didn't finish it as quick as I would have liked to, but I finally did finish it and I'm saying now, it was well worth the wait. I can't wait to read the next one. And my favorite part of this too, is the movie that came out on Valentine's day.

Poor Macon, he died because he loved Lena so much, and I hope her mother got what was coming to her. Hell I even feel sorry for Mrs. Lincoln, and then I think of Link, and what the hell did he say to Ridley that made her not kill Ethan's dad.

I hated Larkin from the beginning, now I see why I did. Stupid illusionist, why would he deceive his family like that, and poor Aunt Del, they can't even think of a way to break it to her that both the children went dark.

At the end of the book it says something about how Lena's eyes are different, one green one yellow, how is she going to hide that, everyone already hates her, and having a different colored eyed is going to make them freak, I mean she isn't an illusionist like Larkin was, God he's an ass. I also already hate, hate hate hate hate, Hunting, aka a blood incubus, aka the dream incubuses brother aka Macon's brother.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

I liked this book, and I'm currently comparing it to the other two, which I gave each half a star more on the rating, but they we're all about the same in the suspense and action. I unfortunately was expecting more out of this one then I got, but it was still worth it.

I'm not surprised how much Katniss got hurt, sometimes I think she deserved that specific one. But the other characters, for one example, Finnick, shouldn't have died, especially the way he did. I gasped during my test when I read that part, and my teacher yelled at me, but oh well. I also can't believe what happened to so many people, and oh god Primrose, I wanted to cry, that duck tail, it made me so sad.

I love the people who helped them, and of course the ending, well before the exact ending, but you'll figure it out. Boggs was smart, and tried to help down to his last breath, telling her to trust no one, which gave her the incentive to shoot Coin, approved, I thought Coin was a bitch and needed to die, and I'm pretty sure Snow was lying about the bombs thing, especially the way he started laughing when Coin died. I don't even care about that, Coin was rude, and was trying to kill her, and Snow died anyways, and he was going to die a slow horrible death eventually anyways without his poison. Tigris is an amazing person, housing them, feeding them, being their spy, I guess what else could she do, she had been a stylist, and had seen quite a few kids off to the Games, and she was angry at Snow, so of course she would help, it only benefited her.

I'm not sure about the ending ending though. I think it was a cute way to end the story, but at the same time, she swore she would never have kids, but I guess that swear means nothing anymore without the Games. But still she had the kids, and it's been 20 years and shes still having nightmares, and oh god just thinking about the book reminds me about Annie, first she lost Finnick, then she had his baby, that would be a horrible thing to happen to someone whose already mostly gone to begin with. I feel horrible for these fictional characters, they went through so much in such a short amount of time, from skin grafting to watching their best friends get decapitated, and helping a rebellion, and then taking out the rebellion, watching your little sister light on fire, and all those other kids too, also having the guy your so distraught over trying to kill you the instant he sees you.

This is my longest review yet I think, I just had so many things to say about this book that stuck in my head perfectly, and it was such an amazing book. Suzanne Collins is a gifted author, I'm glad I was recommended by my friends to read these books, they were well worth it, and they also made me hate the movie. Just saying the movie sucked ass compared to the book. Can't wait for Catching Fire.

I'm currently reading Gone by Lisa McMann, the final book in the Wake trilogy.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I rated this book easily a 5 stars out of five.

I liked this book, and yes that is so obvious to say, it is an amazing book.

I love Katniss, but I can think of a million things that would've made the book funnier, add romance, keep Peeta not mad at her, and made a lot less sense.

I could find absolutely nothing wrong with this book, and I need to get the second book NOW!!! Not tomorrow, not next week, Now. I have to know what happens between Katniss and Peeta and Gale, and Prim, and their mom, and Haymitch, and everyone else from District 12. I can't wait to read it. Does anyone know a good site to download free e-books so I can get this book now, I was going to use OnRead, but it's not working on my computer right now.

I'm currently reading Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, and Abandon by Meg Cabot, and soon Delirium, and a few other ones. I'm going to go take care of Goodreads right now though so I'm going to go.

Need by Carrie Jones

I rated this book a 4.5

I liked this book, and I keep thinking about it. I love werewolves, and mythical beings.

Zara is a really pretty name, and it means princess, which is what she is, a pixie princess. Even though you don't know that until the end. I also love how slow she is, especially with the were thing, and I love her phobias, I used to memorize phobias like her, but then I stopped and I started reading books, laugh out loud.

I loved, I mean absolutely loved loved loved the scene when Nick ran into the woods and told her to go stay in the house, and of course she didn't listen. But think about it, if she did listen think what are the chances she would have found Nick in wolf form, and taken the arrow out and healed him up, oh and my favorite part, how would she have seen him pretty much naked, and him protecting her from her father.

Zara would be a dead goner if Nick and Betty and Devyn weren't looking out for her, and good riddance to bad rubbish, I could tell from the beginning that Ian wasn't a good person, and he proved I was right. I can't wait to read the next book I want to see how much it heats up with Nick, especially with her mom there, I want to see when Devyn heals, I want to see Issie, which happens to be my exact book counterpart.

Well with that said, I should go do my last review, is everyone ready for this, I can't believe I jumped on the bandwagon, oh wait, it's fine, every ones already left it, so it's not as cool anymore, but without further adieu, my next review is The Hunger Games by Suzanna Collins.

This is a good book, a really good book. While I was talking with my friends about it I had to keep gushing about the fact that a third of the scenes I'd read in the beginning were fighting scenes with creepy monsters, or whoops I mean demons.

I can't wait to read the next book, I have a few reasons for that. The first reason is that I want to know what happened to Thane. The second reason is I want to see what would happen if Gretchen said yes to Nick, and if Nick can see anything, I mean seriously he saved her from getting impaled by a scorpions tail. Third reason is I want to know if Grace has any luck with Milo. The fourth reason is that I want to know if they rescue Ursula, Euryale, their immortal aunt.

I didn't really like Greer, I don't really like girls like her at all. I can't really find anything bad about the book, so I'm going to move onto my next review, which will be Need by Carrie Jones.

Suicide Notes random note

So I read Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford awhile ago, and since I read it I've had the same thing going through my head. That was the suicide note the one girl left, I can't remember her name for the life of me, and I really can't get it out of my head. I loved the story when I was little, and now it's forever changed, and I found this awesome picture on tumblr, and had to save it to my computer. So now here is that picture, and enjoy the poem/story/suicide note.

Seven little crazy kids chopping up sticks.
One burnt her daddy up and then there were six.
Six little crazy kids playing with a hive.
One tattooed himself to death and then there were five.
Five little crazy kids on a cellar door.
One went all schizo and then there were four.
Four little crazy kids going out to sea.
One wouldn't say a word then there were three.
Three little crazy kids walking to the zoo.
One jerked himself too much and then there were two.
Two little crazy kids sitting in the sun.
One took a bunch of pills and then there was one.
One little crazy kid left all alone.
He went and slit his wrists and then there were none.

I find it a little nerve racking since I won't lie, I have cut myself before in the past, and I probably will again in the future. The reason I know this is because I can tell, even if no one else believes me, I have something wrong with me, some major chemical imbalance, I mean I've attempted suffocation myself because I was bored 5 years ago.

But yeah, that's what I haven't been able to get out of my mind for some time now.
I suggest you read Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford, it is a really good LGBTQ book. That and if you do read it, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me what her name was again. I think it started with a C. Okay I'm done rambling.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I rated this book a 4.5.

I really liked this book, as you can tell from the rating. This isn't like my usual books, which are usually parts of series, this is a stand-alone book.
**Spoilers are HIGHLY possible**

I loved the setting. I've never actually been to a circus, but I really, really want to go to one someday, this book only enhanced that feeling. I kept finding it hard to put down, especially at scenes when Marco and Celia were together, or when one in a million things could happen. I loved the Murray twins, Penelope, referred to as "Poppet", and Winston, referred to as "Widget", were especially sweet characters, coming around as babies born when the circus was opened.

I also liked the unforgettable scenes, for instance like
the first lighting of the bonfire, or when the clock first changes, or how it talks about Celia's father, Hector, cutting each of her fingertips open, just to make her heal them.

I got confused once or twice with how the years kept changing, but that's what the chapter starting is for, they list the year right under the chapter title. I found the quotes, and the stories in between, a little distracting, but I did like them, they gave the circus more life then just the story itself, as if you were there.

I think for this being Morgenstern's first book, it was, and still will be a huge success. As now I'm determined to make a little paper model of the circus like on the book, to fit in my hand, then I'm also probably going to make a book mark using the hand and the circus.
