I give this book easily a 5 star rating.

This book was amazing. I feel as if the kiss took way too long to happen, but the kiss scene was probably one of my best scenes in the book.
I do have a few complaints, as this book talks about superheros, the only person who is actually referred to as a superhero is Morning Star, or Aubrey's mom. This had nothing to do with superheros, but it did have to do with Guardians fighting demons, or as they're called in the book, harrowers.
Aubrey is one of the BEST heroines I've seen in a story like this, plus there was no love triangle, those piss me off to no end, because the guys are either both perfect, or both asses, but that's off topic. She realizes things right away, and she used her Knowing right. Also it did occur to me, if she did the little ritual, shouldn't she lose her powers, and then unseal Verrick, not gain more powers, relight the circle?
Aubrey's cousin Iris, I never liked her to begin with, and by the climax I knew I hated her, now if only Aubrey had done something to her. Also that she's a complete idiot. But I feel horrible for Elspeth, she looked up to someone she loved, who was evil, for a good purpose as she thought it was.
Leon confused me, and I kept jumping back and forth to liking and hating him, but when he was being overly protective I knew something was up. Also I was almost sure they were about to kiss in the baking ingredient fight, but alas they didn't and her mom came home with Detective Wyle.
Pretty much overall, I would suggest reading this book, it's a very good read, it does get a little slow in the middle, but overall it is worth the read.
